Hygiene refers to conditions and practices that help to maintain health and prevent the spread of diseases – World Health Organization. Personal hygiene, medical hygiene, sleep hygiene, and food hygiene are all examples of hygiene activities. Hand washing, respiratory hygiene, home food hygiene, kitchen hygiene, bathroom hygiene, laundry hygiene, and medical hygiene at home are all examples of home and daily hygiene. Many people associate hygiene with “cleanliness,” but hygiene encompasses a wide range of concepts. It includes personal habits like how frequently you shower or bathe, wash your hands, trim your fingernails, and wash your clothes. Cleaning surfaces in the home and workplace, including bathroom facilities, is also included. Some regular hygiene practices may be regarded by society as good habits, whereas hygiene neglect may be regarded as disgusting, disrespectful, or threatening.
